A New Way Comes Upon Earth.
God is an infinitely variable Constant.
Man marks his ground with ideologies.
Galaxies are the dreidels of God.
War is a punishment for implacability.
Peace flows from forgiveness of sins.

BlackArrow brings about the association with a famous work by R. L. Stevenson, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Black_ ... _Two_Roses

Re: Chess program names?
Here is some of my ideas.
If you want to stay with the FIRE idea :
- Incinerator
- Calcinator
If you want to relate to the 4 elements (and the original name FireBird) :
- EarthBird
- WaterBird
- AirBird
or of you want to be "over" this :
-AetherBird
-Aether
If you want to think about the original name FireBird and the Russian origins :
- жар-птица ( jar-ptitsa : firebird in russian)

Inferno can't be used ...
Because of the same problem as Firebird became Fire...
Inferno is a "trade mark".

how about chesgek...ZirconiumX wrote:I am currently rewriting Firenzina's search, eval, and almost everything, pretty much, to the point where I no longer consider it a derivative of Fire (if it is, then DiscoCheck is a blatant clone of Umko).
So - we need a new name, and me and Dmitri can't think of any good ones. (Crossbow is our current best, which isn't great)
Anyone have any ideas???

Inferno sounds a bit like "inferior".Tennison wrote:Inferno can't be used ...

From a different area, how about Cromwell? (Much better than Protector, I dare say.)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oliver_Cromwell
