Here is some of my ideas.

If you want to stay with the FIRE idea :
- Incinerator
- Calcinator

If you want to relate to the 4 elements (and the original name FireBird) :
- EarthBird
- WaterBird
- AirBird

or of you want to be "over" this :
-AetherBird
-Aether

If you want to think about the original name FireBird and the Russian origins :
- жар-птица ( jar-ptitsa : firebird in russian)

Inferno can't be used ...

Because of the same problem as Firebird became Fire...
Inferno is a "trade mark".

So - we need a new name, and me and Dmitri can't think of any good ones. (Crossbow is our current best, which isn't great)

Anyone have any ideas???

Inferno sounds a bit like "inferior".

Arbalest is nice, along the Crossbow line.

From a different area, how about Cromwell? (Much better than Protector, I dare say.)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oliver_Cromwell

Not sure about arbalest, it's definitely better than crossbow, though.

Cromwell is trademarked.
