I am going to buy a new laptop for computer chess.
Quad-core and the usual memory. Does Windows 8 seem to work okay with the usual GUIs and engines or should I try to get Windows 7?
Thanks,
Gerald

Are there any problems with heat/noise when it runs at full power for a longer time?
