Re: Two games

Post by Dr.Wael Deeb »

A few days ago I played against NagaSkaki 5.12 in one of my still running tournaments and as you can see I crushed it in 27 moves with the white pieces....

The engines is rated 2060 Elo in my private rating list....

Going through the game I may be accused of using an engine for consulting my moves....

The truth.....I didn't and I will not unless it's post game analysis ........

Enjoy the game.....

Of course I've been playing the chess engines since the year 2002 and I've gaind around 500 Elo through this time....

I do hope to find time soon to participate in human tournaments....

He could not quite explain the tactics behind Kg8. For him it was only a waiting move. Still, his comments on the whole game were rather convincing.

He has been given the benefit of the doubt, and he will stay in the tournament.

I'm really sorry for you Olivier, i'm totally on your side, i've been playing engines and fake humans for more than 20 years, i totally understand you. Take it easy. There's nothing you can do more than what you did.
Many of the people who defend your opponent think that you have been cheated but they prefer not say that.

Best Wishes

Thanks Maurizio

I was not playing white pieces in this game, I am the organizer. I think I have done my job by inspecting the case, hearing the player and making a decision. Now the case is closed.

Still..

.. I find it interesting to compare the moves played by a human - and the preferences of a top engine - i.e after book - how many moves were similar ( f.e within top-2 choices of the engine)

Since I posted 2 games of 15 min here - I'll check my moves out with Houdini.

...with your finding time to play chess vs human in tournaments..

The engine you played comitted suicide but surely you know that.

After f.e 25.-Qg7 there is not so much for white.

I have my tournament chess beyond me since I'm old - but you have never even tried ?? Just playing some computerchess?? A child of the computer age maybe...

PS - my posted games were really nothing - but may serve as a source for comparing human moves vs engines - nothing else...
