If any of you have something of interest in his mind you would love to ask to him, let me know.

Hi Fernando, I'd appreciate it if you could ask Karpov if, during his
active chess playing days, he found it beneficial to take breaks away
from chess, and if so, how long should those breaks be? For example,
should you have several months of nothing whatever to do with chess?
all the best,
Larry
Should you take 20+ years of nothing whatsoever to do with chess?

Why the snide question? Why should GM Karpov answer such a question? GM Karpov has been active to some degree in chess since he was a kid and is active still today, poliically and as a player.
In fact he was just here at my chess club in St. Louis playing a chess match. After leaving St. Louis GM Karpov went to Las Vegas to join the Vegas chess festival.

I was just joking about what Fischer did after the match. I didn't mean to upset any one about it. I mean, everyone needs a good break from something every now and again.

Draw or beat him, too! like you did with Anand.
I did Korchnoi once. Draw.
So you need to draw me too, if you want to be world champion!
Stuart, as I said clearly from the beginning, Anand just gave a me a gift. When he said "this is a draw" the game was equal, but i am sure that he did not put on it much effort and even so he would have won me some moves later if he had wanted to do so.
I am normally a lousy 2000 elo player, perhaps 2100 or 2200 in a good day, years light from any GM.
Consider your game with me as already won regards
Fern
