Processors for chess

Post by EroSennin »

I only got 2500 in the fritz benchmark test. So I am thinking of getting a new processor for 100-300 euros. What should I get? My mind is now between Intel Core i7 2600K and AMD FX-8150. I could get both at about the same price. Which one should I get?

Intel. Intel processors have been unbeatable, especially in integer operations (which is what you need for chess), even compared to the AMD chips with more cores.
