Ha! Just downloaded Battle Chess from 1988. It ran fine under DosBox. I hadn't seen this program in a long long time. Good for a laugh. Thanks.

I used to run it on my Amiga 500 (best version there was, because of the many colors and hifi sound).

There's a new Battle Chess about to be released for Windows, Mac, Xbox 360 and iPad very soon. :)

Thanks for a hint about Hiarcs. But it's the first DOS program which crashes in D-FEND for some reason (default settings).
