Which 2 engines would you like to see tested next?

Post by ATOMICC »

So far, I have began my testing with Critter, Houdini, Komodo, and Stockfish. Which two engines should I add into the testbed next?

Ivanhoe 946f?
Naum 4.2?
Rybka 4.1?
Strelka 5.1?
Other? (Please type it.)

I do not have Vitruvius or Chiron, although I would like to test them as well.
Happy chessing!

Yes - I heard VITRUVIUS is quite awesome in tactics! CRYPTIC, THINKER 5.5 and STRELKA MP would be great! (4 programs) I look forward for DEEP SHREDDER 13, DEEP HIARCS 14 and DEEP FRITZ 13 release. If DEEP RYBKA 5 comes out this year, then the clash with HOUDINI 3 is the most expected match of the past few years! All the best!

Yes, all of those MP engines are intriguing, and I am looking forward to some of them; however, I only test with 1 CPU. :) I thought Cryptic was private? And Thinker 5.5 is not released yet, right?

Actually, I'm not really look THAT much forward to the above named engines (shredder, hiarcs, Houdini 3 rybka 5 etc.)
What I would like to see is engines with an AMAZING style, i.e. i love vitruvius because of its style. Unfortunately, i dont know many engines with this style, thinker 5.3 would be awesome, but, at least for me, it tends to lose at "short time control" (10 minutes) against the better engines.
My 5 cents regards
Ethan

VITRUVIUS 1.1 (it's awesome in tactics!) and DEEP HIARCS 14.
Best regards!
