HOUDINI 3 vs. RYBKA CLUSTER

Post by FriedmannC »

Who do you think would win a match played between HOUDINI 3 at its maximum hardware and RYBKA CLUSTER?
24 games to be played at classical time controls ( 2h30'/40 moves+ 1h15'/20 moves + 1h for the rest of the game with 15'' increment from the 1st move). The book would be the same for both HOUDINI 3 and the RYBKA CLUSTER up to 10th move.
Best regards!

Indeed, they never met. But I guess specialists in computer chess field could assume who might win between HOUDINI 3 and RYBKA CLUSTER.

What would the speculation be based on? The strength/efficiency of the Rybka cluster is unknown. Nothing of use has been published about it. Has anyone studied Houdini's parallel search? Nothing published. So it would be speculation on top of speculation unless someone somehow managed to get this answered over the board.

as much as i like Fischer...

Kasparov would win...

also... if Fischer would have played Karpov back in 1975... i believe Fischer would have lost...

anyway... just some thoughts...
