A superb personality of Amyan 1.72....

Post by Dr.Wael Deeb »

Hi,
Yes,I create and improve new personalities of chess engines that are not +3300 Elo :D

This one is at least 40 Elo stronger than the default program and at the same time is extremely aggressive....

In a currently running tournament it scored much higher than the default Amyan 1.72....

For example Fritz 5.32 crushed the default settings 2-0 as it manged to get barely a 0.5 point from the KingCrusher personality.....

This is confirmed after playing more than 80 games at long time controls....

Watch this game

Will the people be interested in a Gaviota with parameters to play with and tune?
I never thought anybody would care. In fact, I do not even need to do anything, Gaviota has had that for several years, I just need to document it. That would be another sub 3300 engine :-)

Gaviota's Turn will come in time....no doubt about that....

I'll do my best to create a monter personality as I did with many chess engines along with Amyan 1.72 which is now around 54 Elo stronger than the default with more games played....

I will publish them in due time Fern....just to pass the emergency minimum of 200 games to be sure....but even now I'm pretty convinced that Amyan 1.72 KingCrusher is far stronger than the default....far stronger....
Cheers,
Dr.D

P.S.I barely tuned 4 parameters in the configuration file and the magic came out with all it's glory 8-)

Of course the people would be interested. It at least gives us the illusion that we have some part of engine development. And I believe that Dr. Deeb and Luis Smith have had their personalities incorporated into engines, so it is no illusion for them.
