is correct?
Hi Frank,

Better use:

Program = prodeo.exe w5 ProDeo.eng

Rest is OK.

Best to you,

Ed

Nostalgia?
NO
It was better for me in terms of features and design.
If I say the Parthenon is a magnificent building, is that nostalgia?

In the meantime, thanks

Make sure you get the 1.71 personalities.
Does Prodeo have a built-in benchmark test? I want to try to create a personality and need a quick way to compare different versions, preferably in console mode. Is there a list of commands that Prodeo will accept in console mode?

There is nothing of that, just winboard commands.

Hi Ed,
I wonder, why ProDeo plays Ke7 in this position (and lost soon) ?
[D]8/8/5k1p/p1pp4/3p2P1/PP1P1K2/2P5/8 b - -

I found no other engine suggesting this move.
I did a few parameter experiments and found:
[Right to Move = 50] * was #75 helps here - same with personality prodeo2 [Right to Move = 0]
What does this parameter in such an endgame position?

What about including egbbs or tbs ?

thanks for the new version!

best wishes
Werner

Hi Ed,

here an other good example:
KBR - KR
Prodeo lost this endgame.
Should be clearly remis!

I think that ProDeo need endgame databases, like Gaviotabases. Could be an order for yourself if you have interest and time for it.

Hi !

I think ProDeo (like Rebel) has a sort of egbbs built-in . But only 4 men ! Of course , they are used in search. Will be nice to see Gaviota TBs access under ProDeo !
And yes , ProDeo has a nice middlegame play !
Thank you Mr. Ed Schröder for Rebel ( and its continuation - ProDeo ) project ! Nice to see the computer chess history acting under your eyes !
