Matthias - could you please check that tablebases adjudication isn't broken in ChessGUI 0.232?
Thanks,
Graham.
I see nothing wrong.
Can you send me evidence that something may be wrong ?
Matthias.
Definitely something wrong. I've had to switch back to an earlier version. When there are five pieces left on the board, the game just continues even though I have tablebases adjudication ticked.
Could it happen as a result of ticking the TLCV option?
Graham.
If "Play Out TB Mate" is ticked, the GUI will play out the mate.
If "Play Out TB Mate" is not ticked, a mating game continues till the mate is within the user-defined limit, then GUI adjudicates.

I'll take another look at the weekend. Meanwhile 0.229 is using TB adjudication as intended.

All ChessGUI versions since 0.160 or maybe even earlier (except 0.232) can corrupt the games schedule file if an engine strongly resists unload (i.e. crashes harshly).
Note that ChessGUI never adjudicates a mating endgame if the mate is in more than 50 moves.

Take a look here Matthias:
TLCV
Host - 118.90.110.197
Port - 16001
Note that the Hussar v Cheng game did not use TB adjudication when down to five pieces.
