Hi everybody.
Neville C. Dempsey from New Zeland has done a translation of Toledo Nanochess from C to Algol-68, if anyone wants to give it a look it is now available at my website.

Because there are few chess programs in Algol-68, currently it is also the world's smallest chess program in Algol-68, enjoy it!

Re: Toledo Nanochess translated to Algol-68
My first question is why?
Algol-68 never really took off as a popular language and is pretty obscure now. I once did some programming (not chess) in Burroughs Algol, quite a different dialect, which had some interesting bit-manipulation stuff. It's long gone now, along with the computers it ran on.

I prefer to think "Why not?". Mr. Dempsey did a great work and decided to share it, if someone enjoys it, learns something new or gets a new idea then it is the whole point
