[STS v14.0] - "Queens and rooks to the 7th"

STS 14 is now available.
Consists of carefully selected 100 test positions on "Queens and Rooks to the 7th"
Themes: Open file, Threat, Attack on pawns, Middle game, Endgame, King side attack, Flank/Central Pressure.

Does this include the 8th rank as well?

No, It doesn't. Only the 7th Rank, and 2nd Rank.

Ok. I felt 8th rank and 1st is also important in Middlegame attacks as well as late Middlegame early Endgame.
Something to think about for future test suites.

Ok. I felt 8th rank and 1st is also important in Middlegame attacks as well as late Middlegame early Endgame.
Something to think about for future test suites.
Those are more about attacks against the king or useful pins. 2nd/7th is about several different ideas. Attacking the base of opponent's pawn chain(s) which ties the opponent up. Hemming the king in on the 8th (absolute 7th is one example) so that he plays down a piece (the king in the endgame). Etc.

I fully understand it...I felt the suite could be complimented with extending the ranks. I didn't even mention the 6th & 3rd ranks or the importance of controling ranks vs files etc.
Rooks may be the least understood pieces imho.
