Chief Differences between CCC v OPEN

Post by Steve B »

I see two main differences..

1)CCC ..you need to register to read all Sub-Fora and to post anywhere

OPEN..you need to register to post anywhere but can read anything without registering

Conclusion ...OPEN is great for Unregistered Lurkers

2)CCC.The moderators are elected every six months by the membership
Open..Mods are appointed by the owner of the site who is also the Uber Mod

Conclusion..any hope that the general membership can have some input into their sites current and future direction
can be "checked" at the OPEN coat room door when you first walk in
please take your coat room ticket..please have a seat
thank you very much..

now ..
I ask you..
Which difference is tiny and which is huge??

Unregistered Lurkers vs Members Regards

Do I hear some whining?

Seams all you can read at CCC these days is whining about Open-chess (you, Diosi, Frank...).

Well, I can't blame you for being sore losers ;).

I think you will find that the majority of threads in Open-Chess are whining about CCC. If not that, the Whittington politburo is telling you how dear old Lenin was a great party animal. If not it is a celebration of clones. If not that.......the members there come here to whine like YOU.

Don't worry Conkie. I'll sincerely vote for you to be a moderator of CCC. Guess why? ;)

Well Stanisavljevic, you can try (and there is no guesswork involved).

The words "sincere" and "Stanisavljevic" are an antithesis.

Sure, the same as "Conkie" and "virtue" are synonyms ;).

I was hoping it would be a good complete site for computer
chess. However it appears to be a front for some other
agenda. Not to criticise just my opinion.

You got my vote,
Gerold.
