I double-click ChessGUI.exe, and the process is started according to Task Manager, but I see nothing. The window doesn't pop up.

Haven't tried this version under that OS, but all previous versions work fine under it here.
Just tried it on my i5 with that OS and it is okay for me.

Cheers,
Graham.
Runs fine too under Win7, 64 Bits, Ultimate

Matthias.
Huh. Could be an issue with Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 I suppose.

When I played Stockfish 1.7.1 I tried to resign and got some kind of access violation error.

I recommend ChessGUI only for engine-engine matches now.
I neglected human-engine matches so far.

Anyway I will investigate that access violation and improve ChessGUI's behaviour at shutdown.

Matthias.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

Kaspersky is not the issue. I'm gonna download it again and see if that fixes it....

Oddly enough, after downloading it again, saving the file instead of opening it directly, then opening it with 7-zip and extracting it to a non-root directory, it works. I guess that happens with Windows.... :P.

Hi Mathias!
Dual Athlon, 1 G RAM
Bug report: In a match Human against engine, when you want to resign, click in resign and Gui crashes.
When you set for an UCI engine "borrow main gui book" (it means that the engine will use Gui book, isnt it?), sometimes work sometimes dont work.
A request: can you add feature named "MATCH" ? This means between human against engine or engine against engine but not a "Tournament variation". Im clear? My english are terrible
Cheers and ChessGui are fantastic

Hi Carlos,

as I said earlier, I neglected human-engine matches so far, so "resign" does not work anymore.
The "MATCH", you mean will not be possible soon. ChessGUI is designed for tournaments.
I will check and fix that "borrow main gui book" stuff.

I don't recommend ChessGUI yet for human-engine matches because "resign" is buggy and moves can be entered only by clicking, not dragging.
