Well the way I look at it, it's simple. The tournement allows for ANY hardware, so if the others cannot use a cluster, then that is their problem. Of course hardware gives an advantage, but remember ANY were allowed to use this hardware. If they could not use this hardware due to the software not supporting it, or they did not have access to a cluster, to bad. GCP's Deep Sjeng could, bully for him. I recall the previous tournements when Ryba also used a cluster, none complained then. Also, even many years prior when Junior, Fritz , and Shredder were all MP engines, and many others were not , this was the same issue. Hardware changes, so gets with the times, or be crushed.

It was tough playing Sjeng. But Spark managed to draw the games against Hiarcs and Shredder.

Spark was winning against Shredder though but it underestimated the power of pawn nail (on h3). Shredder exploited that weakness and took hold of chances for perpetual checks.

Congratulations to all participant programmers for such a great tournament.

The winner is Gian-Carlo on a special hardware. I like this situation, regards to Gian-Carlo and my special congrats to Gian-Carlo.

I am sure, we all are very hungrey of a new Hiarcs version. Same for Gian-Carlo ... we await it

Considering that huge clusters have more often not won, than won, it is a very nice victory. A hearty congrats to Gian-Carlo, and to Peter Skinner for a great tourney once again!
