I had wanted to see how good the GUI is at handling the EPD testing.
I'll download it sooner!

Swami
Note that an engine will solve epd suites in ChessGUI only if engine is marked as able to analyze.

Matthias.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

Happy New Year Clare Marie.
Note that ChessGUI is almost only useful for eng-eng matches.

chess960 support is still broken. When I try and start a chess960 engine match, it starts a capablanca 10x8 game. Has been like that last few versions

Any chance of a fix?

Cheers,
Graham.
Hi Graham,
maybe Ray has the problem because he is updating/using an incompatibly old tournament ?
He should completely delete all files in TOURNAMENTS and OUTPUT and see whether that solves the problem.
I shall test Chess960 support in a few days from now.
Cheers,
Matthias.
From Ray:

the ChessGUi chess960 issues are with a brand new installation of the GUI with newly installed engines and starting a new tournament using a chess960 starting pgn

Cheers,
Graham.

OK, I will test that today. I am now running a Chess960 tournament, but without pgn.

I believe that Ray emailed you to let you know that you've fixed everything. Again, thanks for your efforts. :D

Hi Graham,

Ray did tell me that playing Chess960 from pgn positions now works again.
The question is: have I broken anything else ?
