That was 5 years ago. many engines have improved by hundreds of ELO over that time. Like many authors, Vas liked some of the ideas from Fruit and adapted them for his own program. He says he did that, it is no secret. That is what open source is about isn't it ? I'm sure many many authors did the same thing. We wouldn't know it, because no other author is the subject of the same witch-hunts and discrimination as Vas. No doubt Vas can earn 3 times as much money by giving up Rybka and taking another job. With all this crap he gets, I'm surprised he doesn't do it. I would. You can only take so much. But maybe that is exactly what some people want to see happen
