Hello I am trying to run Pro Deo 1.6 under Arena using the rebeluci engine and I can't get the engine to start. I seem to remember having the same problems with earlier versions of Pro Deo under Arena.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Gerald

I did not play a longer time with this engine. It is installed here inside Arena 1.1 and Arena 2.01 as uci engine:
E:\Program Files (x86)\ChessBase\Engines\ProDeo16\rebeluci.exe
The folder ProDeo16 consists of all files provided with the downloaded zip archiv.
It works under both GUIs without problems.

Hi,
Here I installed ProDeo (all variations) as winboard engines in Arena. As Dr. D says, I don't see why I should use this splendid engine as UCI.

Re: Trouble running Pro Deo under Arena
Hello and thanks for the good advice. I am running Arena 2.0.1. Could that be a problem for Pro Deo? Would I still install the rebeluci.exe or the prodeo.exe if I install as a Winboard engine?
Best wishes,
Gerald

You can install it as a WB engine (prodeo.exe), or a UCI engine (rebeluci.exe), either should work fine.
