This is our 3rd annual WCRCC. Rules haven't changed from
last year, but some may. We will move one or two rounds from
Sunday to Saturday to help our colleagues in the Australian time
zones, but it is likely to stay at 14 rounds.
Due to the timing of the other computer chess events, we will
have it in August 2009. The dates will be voted on here by the
participants. Here are the choices:
o Saturday and Sunday August 8 & 9
o Saturday and Sunday August 15 & 16
o Saturday and Sunday August 22 & 23
o Saturday and Sunday August 29 & 30
The only other tournament that I know of close to those dates is the
Mainz tournament for FRC. It is 7/27 - 8/2. I didn't find the dates
for this years Poland tournament.
Remember that it is open to all authors and authorized operators
world wide. Also, strength of the program does not matter, We
invite all programs weak or strong. There is much more to the
experience than just winning.

Well, Vincent tells me he missed this post and he wants to enter Diep.
Of course, Telepath is in.
Due to personal issues, we have to drop the weekend of
August 29/30 from the choices.

I first preference is 22&23. My second preference would be 15&16. All weekends in August are fine for me.CRoberson wrote:Saturday and Sunday August 22 & 23

For me, the earliest the better. First two weekends are ideal. Classes start at the end of August and things may get complicated.Pradu wrote:I first preference is 22&23. My second preference would be 15&16. All weekends in August are fine for me.CRoberson wrote:Saturday and Sunday August 22 & 23

So far, the weekend of August 15 & 16 2009 is the most requested
weekend. That is from those that have emailed me.

I'll be away that weekend (and part of the next). If someone wants to operate Arasan they can. Otherwise, if it's held then, I'll have to skip.

Hi,
Unfortunately i will not be available this year either, but i would be happy to let someone operate BugChess2 (new version coming soon).
I hope that the bug will manage to draw the fish again this year
Cheers
François

For me, any weekend on August would do. Count Twisted Logic in.

Re: 2009 ACCA World Computer Rapid Chess Championships
Ok, the date is:
Saturday and Sunday August 15 & 16
As to the operator question. Yes, operators are allowed. If you can't
be there please get an operator. If you get an operator just for a
faster machine, then please be online also. We had a few like that
last year. It made things more enjoyable.
I'll have the web pages up in the next 24 hours.
