Okay - I think I've found out why.
When I was starting a gauntlet recently, I'd set it up and just click "resume tournament".
If I set up my gauntlet and then click "start new tournament", I can exit ChessGUI, restart and then get back into my gauntlet to resume it.
So a procedural error on my part and nothing for you to worry about.

Maybe I broke something in ChessGUI just before uploading.
I added a deadly feature
Stay tuned.

Matthias.
I had forgotten to delete a temporary line of code.
Now fixed.

Matthias.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

Hope I'm not stealing Matthias' thunder, but BigLion is between 2100-2200 elo.

Cheers, Graham.

Hi Fern,
I will soon lay down ChessGUI, to continue work on BigLion.
BigLion is very strong, except when opponent is also very strong
Best,
Matthias.

Thanks for the info. Big Lyon is then the program I need to sharpen and/or revitalize my skills. I was 2100 years ago, but playing 2700 monsters you lose the feeling about how strong you are because any way you lose all the time. You can be now 2300 or 1300 and its the same: you lose always as a child.

My best
Fern

Some other engines around the same level are Matheus, BikJump and Atak.

Hi Graham,

those are my colours and I am colour-blind
Maybe some of the colours are from Ray.
I hope people come up with better ones to share.

I will interrupt my swiss and see whether I can locate the memory issue with
roundrobin and gauntlet.
But I think the memory ChessGUI eats is virtual, not physical, and thus a minor issue.

I hope people come up with better colours to share.

Best,
Matthias.
