Exciting stuff!

At this level, 12 Elo is like 3 more meters when you're almost at Everest. Snowblind, toe-less and hallucinating. (Or atleast the Sherpa's that brought your kit there will be, but they get most of the good stuff irt. hallucination) Your flag will look nicely!

That you're willing to share this work for free is even more amazing.
Can't wait to run it on the internet to see how it will compare against other Plagues!

I know, it's may be good to have all this 'derivatives' thing, but who would say at least one word of sympathy to the poor tester of all these derivatives
Please, express your sympathy in this thread.

Thanks in advance,
Evgenii

I find it interesting that people are discussing only one plague here.
In Egypt, there were 10 of them.

Matthias.
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

Not sure if you're kidding or not. If not, start with Exodus 7:14.

Not sure if you're kidding or not. If not, start with Exodus 7:14.
"In the 1999 release of The Mummy, Imhotep brings about several of the plagues as he seeks to be fully resurrected. The most notable are the locusts, flies and gnats, water (and apparently whiskey) turning to blood, boils and sores, the hailstorm of fire and an eclipse, but not in the order listed in the holy books."

Plagues of whisky.....now there's a thought.

:P

Ofcourse I'm not kidding. Who do I have to kiss around here to get some old Plagues?

Ah great, open source.
Hmm, strange program, comments say it's ultimate design was planned in advance, that'll be a first. The evaluationfunction is a bit of a revelation, I see something in there about floodfill, lots of vaporware, some sort of returning pawn (has a bug, only evaluates a fortress collapsing the moment it's captured) , it anticipates on some powerfull evil hidden piece hiding under the chessboard instead of evaluating objectively, and it has some very strange rules for capturing. Before landing on the piece the piece is given a choice, most pieces will respond logically "I can't say much about the nature of reality, A system can't claim much about itself without going outside the system which it can't. It seems I can say "I" exist from my viewpoint, most everything else is up for grabs. However that leaves open a lot of loose ends, reality as I perceive it might be a dream, alien computergame, anything really. I can say however there's no God to the likes made up by man." then not only will this piece be crushed, but it will happen very illogically, the capturing piece will literally fly around the chessboard in directions that make no sense at all, before setting the captured piece alight. It will then go on to spread fear all around the chessboard, claiming all other pieces will be lost forever in checkers and monopoly boxes stored in the hot humid cellar.
Then this version gives hovering over the chessboard a +300.00 bonus.
Pretty buggy.

I recommend this version.

Warning: Some people may find it rather irreverent. Personally I find it to be one of the most hilarious sites on the web (not Exodus in particular, but the entire illustrated Bible).
