Bobby Fischer outrageous chess moves,position 5 & 6....

Post by Dr.Wael Deeb »

Bobby Fischer-Tigran Petrosian
Alekhine Memorial Tournament
White's 36th move....

[D]B7/1R3pp1/2k1pn1p/2P5/1p6/1K4Pr/PP6/8 w - - 0 1

Paul Keres-Bobby Fischer
Candidates Tournament
Black's 53rd move....

[D]8/8/2P5/3K1k2/2R3p1/2q5/8/8 b - - 0 1

Note:The 6th position is rather a trivial mate in one,so don't get so excited :P
From now on I won't post the solutions as there are a bunch of strong players here and I am pleasently surprised,I thought I was the only one :P
Please do state if you use an engine to find the best move and your own interpretation if any....

The sixth position "Mate in 1" was pretty easy - Ego Booster! as I got in very fast.

Fifth one "Mate in three" is also good.

Personally, I liked your interpretation when you presented the solution. I betcha other weaker players on the forum appreciated it too. Not that Mate in 1 requires explanation.

Six is just humour, 53..Qe5 mate.

Five is also forced mate starting with 36. Kc4! and Black has nothing left.
