I am not a programmer, but I know that Nicolai Czempin did play against his program and managed to win. Since he no longer posts, I thought I should mention it.

I've beaten both Telepath and NoonianChess - especially in the
early development stages. Then again in the later stages, but that
was due to bugs. Fun way to find a bug or prove its existance - I can
win.

I managed a draw once by avoiding tactics and simplifying to a R and P ending - but - to actually win, its just not going to happen.

I've played Symbolic a few times. I usually drop a piece in the first twenty moves or so and after that it's too discouraging to continue the game.

Maybe if I built a robot arm for the program then things would be more interesting, as I much prefer using real wood and not phosphors.
