ChessGUI supports the variants Normal, Chess960, Capablanca,
Gothic, Bird, 8x8Capablanca, Caparandom.
Newest Uploads of ArcBishop and Chancellor support all these variants in UCI and WB modes.
ChessGUI will not support more variants !
Those who had already installed ChessGUI, should delete all files in the folders OUTPUT and TOURNAMENTS.
Best,
Matthias.

Re: ChessGUI: enough is enough
One question about the protol used: by what variant name do you refer to 8x8Capablanca? I would propose to use '8x8_capablanca' (so with underscore and lower-case 'c'), to allow easy parsing of variant names in the general scheme of prefixing them with their possibly non-standard board size.
So sending "variant 8x8_capablanca" would make it play Capablanca Chess on an 8x8 board, while "10x8+7_capablanca" would make it play a Crazyhouse version of Capablanca Chess on a 10x8 board, where all 7 capturable piece types could go into the holdings (if the engine would support this, of course...).

I am using 8x8capablanca. I will therefore switch to 8x8_capablanca.
