Seems so. I am hopeful someone can tell us what its like and what is possible with it. The graphics are good...this much is true.menniepals wrote:It works only on KDE?

Fortunately most KDE programs can also be run in Gnome and vice versa. I had no time so far to take a look at. Maybe it is better to wait until it is out of alpha stage.Christopher Conkie wrote:Seems so...menniepals wrote:It works only on KDE?

It didn't compile right under my Ubuntu machine. Can anyone be kind enough to compile it and have it available for everybody? Thanks, AlfredVolker Pittlik wrote:Fortunately most KDE programs can also be run in Gnome and vice versa. I had no time so far to take a look at. Well I looked inside and it really requires a KDE 4 development environment. Cause I'm absolutely satisfied with my computer as it is now I don't want to update the desktop. Maybe after Suse 10.3 is out. And also in that version they have only a pre-release of KDE 4 which is announced for end of the year AFAIK.menniepals wrote:...

I am afraid I am so satisfied with my Ubuntu that switching to Kubuntu should break my heart. As of the moment, Scid and Jose are keeping me busy with my Linux box. You are right, one must have KDE 4 to compile it.

Hm, have you ever tried to create a book? It starts here but when it comes to operations which have to do with file handling it crashes here. Also I noticed I have to use windows engines in it.menniepals wrote:Under wine, Arena works just fine.
