My understanding is that The King was not entered. De Koning was there as he has a program in another event. He was asked to play at the last minute to make the numbers 12. He agreed but did not have the latest version of The King with him so insisted he should not start without it. Sounds fair to me.

However I doubt he was asked to pay the entry fee.

i find it more unfair that he gets 0 points.
i would have found it better to play with a weaker version of the king
to make at least a draw instead of sero point.
the king is always good for a surprise.

It was supposed to be a joke, but that is some times difficult in writing than talking.

Anyway, a Leftie is in my book a person with political opinions to the left of the social democratic ones.....
