the RIVALS of citrine are very "rare" ... the macht versus mephisto polgar UPS a lot of ELO...

maybe It´s necesary TEST ... novag CITRINE versus others machines NOT novag, that have more ELO in the list...

Yes Oliver

results against Milano Pro is very very bad
7 loses.. no wins and 1 draw.. for a performance rating of 1817

i think if different computers are used rating for Le Citrine is even HIGHER
Perhaps ...2100+

Bye Bye Regards

Hi Steve,

By the way, where can I find the result of the 2007 Leiden "Gebruikerstoernooi", which was played last week-end ?

Did Elite actually win ?

...and not Resurrection Rybka ?!!!

Couldn't find it at http://www.csvn.nl/...

Hi, steve..

I think other think

I think that CITRINE "play" versus MACHINES ... sorry COMPUTER CHESS up 2100 ELO... CITRINE comes a more "real" near 2000

If you test a NOVAG CITRINE , and play a lot OF games versus computer that have down ELO ... and CITRINE wins... "ups" artificial ELO of citrine...

And the other think is that NOVAG say CITRINE have 2320 USFC.. and obsidian 2300 ?¡

if NOVAG not think that CITRINE have for example 2400 USFC... its a lot of dificult that comes "near 2100 ?¡ " )

maybe the "overclocked" Spock´s computer CITRINE have 2084... (star trek)

;-)

oliver. since Spain.

bye

But again: Do not look so much at absolute numbers, focus more on the relative distance between the machines. This is explained in more detail in the text for the release of the list (in german only

Yes, and it looks like the Star Diamond is the exact same rating
as it's predecessor Diamond II.

Oliver,

yes I agree, the Citrine definitely needs to play more opponents to get a more stable value, 50 games is not very much. But believe me, we did our best to get it into this list and with the help of some enthusiasts (especially to mention Gregory who contributed 30 games but unfortunatly "only" has the Super Expert and the Master Chess/Milano Pro) we could at least achieve these 50 games. Its a starting point, not more, but I guess the rating is not too unrealistic (whatever this means... ).

best regards
Stefan
