inhereted old computer

hi all,
a fellow coworker gave me an old compaq presario 9232,
120 mhz pentium,win 95,55 mb ram,i gig hd.
what winboard and crafties can i get running on it?
newer versions only work in text mode.
help appreciated.

One concern with older machines like the one you've inherited is that the cost of the electricity may be higher than the value of operation.

In any case, I suggest that you dump Windows 95 and get a copy of Damn Small Linux:

One claim: "Run light enough to power a 486DX with 16MB of Ram".

You should be able to run xboard along with the latest Crafty to get a graphical interface.
