Belofte 2.1.2 released on 32/64 bit linux/windows/mac.
Slight improvement over 2.1.1 (and its never released fix 2.1.1.2). Elo difference about 100, but given past experience with 2.1.1 release, lets wait confirmation from CCRL lists.
No longer segfault on MacOS X on exit.
No longer stops sometimes on move 256, lets hope this fixes the issue some have seen on move 64 or 128.
the improvement is modest this time (I'm playing with fire - no pun intended , estimated +15 against other engines (about half of 4.40 vs 4.39)
(self-play hyperbullet 56% against 4.40 so who knows, I usually get about half of self-play) - my apologies to the testers for not jumping hundreds of Elo points
Needs more games, but unlikely to change too much.
thanks Ray, that's way more than I expected to be honest. glad to see that I finally broke 3k in CCRL FRC - means a lot to me
unfortunately I found some bugs after the release, but they don't seem to impact the strength (aspiration window overflow when close to mate, score ocillations in fine #70, failure to resolve some mates). fixing them might impact strength in theory though - so I'll probably keep the release as is
Took me some days, but I managed to get something working and now Clover 2.2 is here. Mostly, I just added a safecheck evaluation term and retuned all of them on lichess-quiet positions.
If there is interest (enough) I will upload one or two flavours for older hardware.
I have already compiled one for me. Time to depth for more threads seems quite improved.
(even noticable on my hardware compared to r305 nopopcount release)
Note that default for Threads for r323 is 8!
(so below output is for 4 threads = max of my machine)
