Yes sad news. I was wondering when his Perft(14) is ready. So the answer: never :( .

It would be fitting if someone were to finish his work in his name. That'll be hard to organise though...

This is quite a shocking news.
Anyone knows how it happened?

This gentleman will be sorely missed, R.I.P.

He had many serious medical problems, including diabetes, congestive heart failure and tachycardia. He was found dead in his home according to my understanding.

We exchanged a lot of emails over the years and I really came to like him. He often had problems paying for his medicines, and I hope that did not play a role. I offered to help him pay once, but he would not accept any money from me.
Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.
