How is it possible that this GM has a universal rating lower than 2400?

It seems that the fide rating that he has is more accurate.

The universal rating looks reasonable. Five months ago his rating was ~2400, even going back almost two years from that, his rating was 2370 +/- 20. Most rating systems will underestimate a player whose performance is quickly climbing. My guess is that his universal rating will catch up to his FIDE rating in about six months. After that, it should converge even faster to whatever his current FIDE rating is.

I remember that you participated in the Deloitte/FIDE challenge ten years ago. Where does your rating system place him?

I do not have all the data of games so I do not know but I guess better than 2400.

I just gave TWIC another look. His performance going back 100 games is ~2500. Maybe urs is putting too much emphasis on his few rapid/blitz games.
