Who was the older player to be awarded the GM Title?

I believe that it was an Italian chess player Enrico Paoli with over 87 years , but probably you know somebody older :shock: :roll:

I am planning to break that record by the time I reach 88, if I am still healthy and alive, all that I have to do is continue paying my online chess trainer for a few chess lessons every week, I only have 30 more years to achieve that record :roll: :mrgreen:
