Re: Komodo 12 and MCTS

Pointless having MCTS option when its unable to use the power of the GPU or of Tensor Processing Units. Sorry, but the simple truth is that this is just a Sales Gimmick by the Komodo team trying to take advantage of the current interest in MCTS and Neural Networks. Christ, dude, we heard you the fi...

Re: 2 open projects

Option 4:
Stockfish and other 'traditional' programs embrace NN evaluation techniques.
Combining the two will result in a program stronger than either.

Re: How to get more active users into the Zero project?

Contact the BOINC people and discuss how to wrap the project into a one-shot download that the distributed computing community can run.

Re: Stockfish 9

Unfortunately, I will not show everyone because I can not program. I warm up all programmers who know how to program to get to a better job and that there are around 100 Elo and not a poor one because they can afford it. If I could program it, I would show everyone where "crayfish winter". D...

Re: AlphaZero SF game 10 Does Your Engine Find 29Qh3?

ASM Fish eventually favors Qh3, but it's hardly a spirited endorsement. System as above, except hash now at 32GB.

1:33, 161B, 62/34+, +0.07 Qh3
1:43 179B, 62/77+ +0.15 Qh3
2:30 no change....

Re: AlphaZero SF game 10 Does Your Engine Find 29Qh3?

Nope. ASMFish, Oct 4, 2017. 24 core AMD Magny @ 2.3. Lg Pages. 16G hash. 34~35 Mn/s. After 13+ minutes and 28G positions, the program rates Qe4, Bc1, Bd4+, and Qh3 equally, at +0.00 Maybe I'll let it think overnight. It makes a nice room heater! Agree. Many of Monster Zero's games are quite i...
