something weird

hi. i have made some tests and observed this:
old stockfish 9 reached depth 32 at 45 sec average
26/10/19 sf dv reached 32 depth at 60+ sec average
so sf 9 is faster but in tests is far weaker vs sf dv
is there an explanation?

Sorry that he hasn't informed you personally every time so you would be up to date. He thought that yo...

depth with speed relation

stockfish for example: i noticed something "strange" about 2 different compilations from the same source the first is 12% faster but the depth is a little smaller than the slower one example 4500kn/s depth to 30 130 secs 4000kn/s depth to 30 122 secs average after 30 trials can anyone explain that?

Re: SPCC: Testrun of Stockfish 190531 finished

And a big shame that SF doesn't seem to be progressing. if you think its easy at that level the proggress ,drop your ideas, go to fishcooking group, donate our hardware power etc etc. in reality the shame is that there are many "just" users who enjoy the top free programs and dont give a @ about the...

Re: End of Era is there: SF is finally beaten!

How can one know whether the engines are playing on equal terms? How can you compare CPU and GPU and state you've found a balance? Nohow. There are only subjective methods to make comparison. Moreover AB engines are made basically for playing middle games and endgames. An AB engines will be banishe...
