ACCC_2014_Alphabetical Tournament_Letter Q & R

Hi, The test of my configuration of engines under Arena 3.5 GUI is going on. The time is 1+2. The Letter Q and R are available, with the cross table and the PGN zipped. 21 engines competed in the R tournament : the "old faithful" and solid Ruffian manage to be on the podium, while Rodent 1.4 wins th...

Re: ACCC_2014_Alphabetical Tournament_Letter P

Hi Graham, Thank you for your reply. That means that I'm doing something wrong with Pepito. I red that in the readme file that it was WB or UCI compliant, and I installed it as a UCI engine under Arena. I will try to install it as a winboard, using the following config.dat : HASH_SIZE 512 PAWN_HASH_...

ACCC_2014_Alphabetical Tournament_Letter P

Hi all, I'm still running test tournaments at 1+2, to check my own settings under Arena GUI, before restarting my league system. 35 engines where included in this one : Many of them are since a long time my favorites : Phalanx (new version XXIII!), Pharaon, PRODEO (I adore it!) , and many others ! O...

ACCC_2014_Alphabetical Tournament_Letter O

Hi all, This very little tournament, a 4xRR at 1+2 is a test to check my settings with Arena, before continuing my old leagues from 2004 (already 10 years !) The PGN and the cross table are available.(see "Alphabetical Tournament" on the menu) ACCC (Arnaud's Computer Chess Corner) http://alo...

ACCC_2014_Alphabetical Tournament_Letter N

Hi all, This double RR test at 1+2 allowed me to include many new engines (for me !). I was impressed by NirvanaChess, Nemo, Naraku, ans so on. The well known Naum 4.2 and Nejmet 3.07, for a long time included in other rating lists as CEGT, CCRL, show the high level of this tournament. The cross tab...

ACCC_2014_Alphabetical Tournament_Letter I J K L M

Hi all, Since I was in holidays, I was unable to upload the tournaments... There were many games played in those 5 tournaments at 1+2 with common Arena book. The cross tables and the PGN are available on the site. ACCC (Arnaud's Computer Chess Corner) http://aloheac.perso.neuf.fr/ Have a nice day ! ...

Re: ACCC_2014_Alphabetical_Tournament_Letter H.

Hello Jesus, First of all, thank you for the comments regarding the tournaments :D Many thanks for your analysis : I knew that a gain against Houdini is a precious point ! It is obvious for an human player that the Blacks are completly wrong, playing here in the queenside, while the White prepares a...

ACCC_2014_Alphabetical Tournament_Letter H

Hi all, This little double RR test at 1+2 saw without surprise the victory of Houdini. Behind, there were a lot of new engines (for me !). A good surprise are Hannibal 1.4b and also Hakkapeliitta who fought like brave "Mousquetaires" . Hakkapelitaa crushes Houdini 4 in 24 moves, see game N°100 in th...

ACCC_2014_Alphabetical Tournament_Letter G

Hi all, The alphabetical tournament letter G included many various engines ; from "I'm still in development" to "I know what I'm playing, Bro !" Without any surprise, Gull scores 100 %. But behind him, it was a tough struggle for the podium. The cross table and the pgn zipped are available : ACCC (A...

Hi all, This test tournament was a double RR at 1+2. (because only 17 engines) Many new engines like Fizbo, Fruit Reloaded, Fire 3.0 and so on where part of the fight. Others like Fransesca MAD where long time known, and have already shown to be solid ! It was a very interesting tournament I kept th...
