Re: Thanks to all for the Recipes, but...

In my opinion, those moments of life are not abstract things, but precisely those cigarettes, drinks, sex, reading, writing etc that fill the moments. So if you suppress those, you suppress the "moments of life" and nothing rest. Or you have just come up with every excuse to not have to work at it....

Exercise is a safe bet.

If you like it you'll feel healthy and get great sense of pride from your efforts and achievements.
And if you don't like it those two extra years will feel like ten.

A true fountain of youth regards

Re: sacrificing

Just halve or quarter your material values and marvel at the crazy and usually losing moves your engine makes. But against carbon lifeforms it can get interesting for a casual blitz game. My engines usually had an option for it and Nemeton is quite aggressive about it at it's easier levels. At the 2...

Re: Nemeton3D 1.51

Nice! What about letting the user choose FOV? Narrower FOV might be useful for watching a chess board (not so for games:) Thanks! Indeed that was on the to-do list but I forgot. (I lost the list) Now you can adjust FOV with the + and - buttons. A small deadzone around the 90 degree default to be ab...

Self play option.
Press 1-9 to set a camera rotation and speed.

Combining the two makes for a rather epic screensaver for a chess fan.

Re: Nemeton3D 1.51

As per request.:

-Sound with moves.
-Pieces slide slower.

Also.:
-Pieces slightly bigger.
-Winboard parse mode now also works from edited positions.

Let's see if I can make the link clickable this time..: Nemeton3D

Nemeton3D 1.51

Haven't worked on Nemeton's chess ability much. But I have worked on Nemeton3D a bit. In Leiden I ran a 4 core Nemeton3D. -Piece set improved. All pieces have been reproportioned. Bishops got a subtle cut in them. Queen's crown got some thickness to it. Rooks reshaped. -Reduced Elo modes better adju...

Re: Is 32-bit obsolete?

I recently bought an Intel compute stick for my old tv and it ships with 32 bit Win10 so no, not yet obsolete especially with similar low spec devices.

Re: 2017 ACCA WCRCC

So, you are saying that people should have to create their own books too. I am ok with that. Another possibility is we all must use the same book, but that idea is clearly bad. In a computer chess championship demanding own books instead of public/GUI books is very reasonable. One would expect move...
