The problem with both of them is that I use Linux and both are Windows-only. I don't know the Chesshero, but "Guess the Move" is my favorite. I really enjoy it to go over games with it.
Yes, I know there is wine, but the results when I tried it have always been disappointing.

Re: For how many of these are there functional Linux version
... Sorry it's my fault. Edit makefile and remove -static options from the linker. It should be at line 133. Retry by doing Make clean Make all Now it should work Already found out, please see the other thread. Your program runs fine here now. I also recommend to avoid the .exe suffix. Otherwise my...

Re: vajolet2 2.3 release
I tried it at different distros: Linux Mint 18.2 which is based on Ubuntu. On that system the error occured first. The strings command suggested in another message in this thread delivers: strings /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6 | grep GLIBCXX: GLIBCXX_3.4 GLIBCXX_3.4.1 <... snip ...> GLIBC...

Re: For how many of these are there functional Linux version
Both would be interesting for me. I tried the makefile from github. It works fine but the resulting Vajolet2 2.3.1 exe caused a memory access violation.elcabesa wrote:Vajolet can be compiled for linux and raspberry if you like

Nice puzzle and its solution
Sorry, if this has been posted here before, but I just found it on youtube and I just find it an amazing win for white: [d]3k4/8/7p/2p1p1pP/1pPpPpP1/1P1P1P2/N7/2K5 w - - 0 1 Stockfish hasn't solved it here, but maybe on faster hardware there is a chance. Here is a video in which Simon Williams expla...

Re: Stockfish time management is BADLY broken
I tried to play 22.9.2017 version with 60 moves in minute level. I must stop, when 15% of games were lost by time against Houdini... Strange. SF just finished 5330 games here at 40 moves per second without any error. My version is from 19.09.2017. If there is something broken in Stockfish then cert...
