Re: A new version of Scid is available [4.6.4]

Not as far as I know. But you can compile it yourself.

Unzip the source files and change into that directory. Then type:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install tcl8.5-dev tk8.5-dev

Code: Select all

./configure

Code: Select all

make
After everything is done you can run it by typing:

Code: Select all

./scid
Or you can create a program starter

Re: zurichess jura released

I asked the same question some weeks ago: yes it is

It's maybe an unfavourable decision to name it "skill level" (as in stockfish). Maybe "handicap level" would cause less confusion.

Re: Arena 1.1 for Linux

Thank you for the Information. Unfortunately there are still some bugs for me: - move animation leaves traces of small lines around squares the piece is moving across - when going through a game move-by-move, sometime one click triggers 2 half moves to be (re-)played - engines install via "Engines -...

Re: Chess Engines with problems on different hard-/software

I tested LazyGull 0.3 in xboard (Linux) (Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4690K)

The official Github binary works (but I think it is not the BMI2 Version)

Then I compiled both BMI2 and POPCNT versions myself and they both did not work.

I re-tested with the latest dev-snapshot and I got the same problems

Re: Crafty Play By Elo ( Crafty v25.3)

Awesome. Thank you.

One question: why are there two different ways of setting up parameters in the .craftyrc (according to the demo .craftyrc)?

for example, one time it is

Code: Select all

parameter=value
and then there is also

Code: Select all

parameter value
or is simply both possible?
