Re: STS rating v13.1 for Lc0 0.21.2 with nodes = 1

Even my crap suite is better. Ah, now I finally yet did get your point. Yes of course, you're right. Your crap suite is the very best for crap results, but then again, that I never doubted. :) By the way, what are you talking about geniuses like Tsvetkov? I thought we were talking about people like...

Re: Is Blas, or OpenCL really the right way to go

Recently compiled Lc0 0.21.2 with the three different blas variants on my mac and run a small test on network 11258-32x4-se.pb.gz . My MacBook Air with Intel Core i5 from 2015 shows after "go nodes 50000" about 2400 nps with Apple vecLib, thread=1 3500 nps with Apple vecLib, threads=2 2350 nps with...

Re: Whatever is current - Amazing Leela

The last time I ran a 5000 bullet match between 2 equal CL books I got about 4880 doubles and only 120-125 different openings, 125/5000. This is of course part of its strength, I get that, but I wonder how useful it is for the average chess player. What do you mean by "doubles"? Do you mean the ent...

Re: Whatever is current - Amazing Leela

Thomas Zipproth did it already. With Stockfish and does it with lc0. I am aware but I think you do realize this is a new approach. The CL books are great but it is limited to comp-comp and while I can imagine people have fun competing it does not contribute much to human chess because the extremely...

Re: Whatever is current - Amazing Leela

I think it's worth noting that I had tested CerebellumLight bin book against all the bin books that can be downloaded from Rebel's site (including some humongous one by Dann Corbit and all related versions, and the best effort by Jeroen Noomen), and CerebellumLight destroyed them all with ease. It ...

Whatever is current - Amazing Leela

Is it possible for nowadays strong engines that an engine can write its own opening book? We tried the almighty Stockfish 10. From 82,000 human games......

Re: OKE - Opening Knowledge Engines

lc0 + Multi-pv is funny. On Depth=1 every move has the same (ce) score. rnbqkb1r/pppp1ppp/4pn2/8/2P5/6P1/PP1PPP1P/RNBQKBNR w KQkq - id "2-moves.epd pos 74 MultiPV=1"; bm Nf3; ce 7; acd 1; rnbqkb1r/pppp1ppp/4pn2/8/2P5/6P1/PP1PPP1P/RNBQKBNR w KQkq - id "2-moves.epd pos 74 MultiPV=2"; bm Bg2; ce 7; acd...

Re: OKE - Opening Knowledge Engines

Nice work Ferdy, runs smoothly. Some minor points. rnbqkbnr/pppppppp/8/8/8/8/PPPPPPPP/RNBQKBNR w KQkq - c0 "c4=0"; rnbqkbnr/pppppppp/8/8/2P5/8/PP1PPPPP/RNBQKBNR b KQkq c3 c0 "Nf6=2"; 1. Try this EPD, MEA --> ZeroDivisionError: float division by zero + crash. Changing "c4=0"; to "c4=1"; and all is ok...
