Re: Computer chess scene: a heap of ruins

If you're going to reach out your hand, you should make it on a point where you gave offense with false accusations (emphasis mine): Conveniently quoting huh? Skipping the rest of the posting you refer too ? What's causing the huge branch factor difference between 23.2 and 23.3 ? Whatever the answe...

Re: Computer chess scene: a heap of ruins

Read again: http://www.open-chess.org/viewtopic.php?p=13104#p13104 The topic from the beginning was (and always has been) your flat out denial of the obvious, the denial your mind remained unaffected looking at Strelka (=Rybka) sources, discussing Strelka sources in fora etc. After my initial teasin...

Re: Computer chess scene: a heap of ruins

No. Miguel PS: Started with the influence of VR on other current programmers, and Ed included Bob in the group. It was about ideas. Absolutely. Thank you. -------------------------------- I guess what triggered Bob's anger was the realization his (clean!!!) Crafty possibly could have been affected ...

Re: Computer chess scene: a heap of ruins

Yes, Ed, I got that point: having signed a bit too fast the ICGA letter and then having second thoughts make you feel responsible for Vas. Absolutely not my friend. I would do it for Bob in a similar situation. Best to you, Ed Hmm from the SAME person that accused me of copying code from ippolit/ro...

Re: Computer chess scene: a heap of ruins

In case you guys didn't notice, Ed just got completely nuts with this story  It's all about me suddenly? 1. I did not start a 5-year long anti-Rybka campaign. 2. I did not call for a tribunal. 3. I am not responsible messing with someones life and livelihood. 4. I did not sign the CSVN open l...

Re: Fwd: Open letter to the CSVN

I also used to have a lot of respect for Ed S. as the author of Rebel, but it has suffered somewhat of late. It is hard to respect someone who persistently argues in such a dishonest way. Hi Wylie, I am happy to serve as scapegoat, that is all well calculated on beforehand. I can understand your fr...

Seeing as how my interest in this has focused on a discussion of the evidence and not on the verbal combat, I eagerly await your web-page.

Thank you,

Trust me, a web-page is something else as a forum

Best to you,

Re: Fwd: Open letter to the CSVN

That is not necessarily bad, in my opinion. I am compelled to ask you a couple of questions. What charges do you think Vas is innocent of? Do you think that it is possible that Vas "took too much"? Hi Adam, I stated my opinions on this controversial issue in the Rybka forum and it's just too much t...
