### Re: Problems with SEE

How exactly do you use SEE? You order by victim value if attacker >= victim, and by SEE if attacker < victim? No, I always use SEE for captures . I realise that doing SEE for all moves is inefficient, but being able to order the moves knowing exactly the capture sequence outcome should result in a ...

### Problems with SEE

So, considering the "Check extension vs LMR", I blew the dust off my two previous SEE implementations - one based on the REBEL SEE table, and one based on the CPW SEE table - and added them back to my program Dorpsgek. ### Re: How far away are we from deep learning Stockfish, Komodo

After some garage experiments, I think NN-based eval for chess is pretty much a joke even compared to current PST+MAT eval alone. At most, it might be good for move pruning and sorting, prove me wrong. Gladly. I don't think the answer to "Are neural networks feasible for computer chess?" is "No", I...

### Re: BMI2 intrinsics in gcc

Because that header is an Intel-provided system header that would probably be in the glibc documentation. The intrinsics GCC uses on x86 are described here.

Why would you spend money on a program that low in the ELO rating list?
Because Elo might possibly not be everything in an engine?
