Re: Round Robin competition among SF + NNUEs.

Hello: The relative performance of each engine with respect to the winning engine should be: Round Robin with 5 engines and 400 games per engine. Total number of games: 1000 games. Engines: Performance: Score: SF+NNUE (201005) net: nn-baeb9ef2d183: 0.00 51.38 % SF+NNUE (201014) net: nn-04cf2b4ed1da:...

Re: What in the world can that be?!

Hello Dann: I get: A86 Dutch: Hort-Antoshin System After playing 1.- d4, f5; 2.- c4, Nf6; 3.- g3, d6; 4.- Bg2, c6 in Arena 2.0.1 GUI. 'Hort-Antoshin System' search in Google returns lots of results. It is possible that Arena uses a list similar to the next one, which contains: *Version=1.17 *Author=...

Re: Looking for Nero source code.

Hello: I could not find Nero 6.x source code. The most I could find were: ------------------------ 1.- The unnamed version cited by Günther seems to be Nero 5 because this web links to the unnamed version source code (there are older versions in the same page). There is a screenshot of Nero 5 here ....

Re: Funny positional piece sacrifice.

Hello: Possible continuation in the Carlsen Tari game. See -> https://youtu.be/lOzbuVz7SbI?t=2576 Thank you for the source. Answering Peter, my intention was giving a sequence of moves that reaches the position although any transposition of the sequence could be valid, so my line was a proposed line...

Re: Funny positional piece sacrifice.

Hello: Does this position come from a real game? The best I could work by myself with not many suboptimal moves is the following ECO C84 line: [Event "?"] [Site "?"] [Date "????.??.??"] [Round "?"] [White "?"] [Black "?"] [Result "*"] [PlyCount "25"] 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5 a6 4. Ba4 Nf6 5. O-O B...

Re: CCRL flawed testing: SF12 above SF12 8CPU.

Hello Kai: Third and hopefully last attempt with the minimum draw ratio D_min. The other two are wrong. It is easy to check that +122 =0 -78 after 200 games translates into +77.7 Elo and the draw ratio is zero, so D_min. is nor 20.43% neither 10.22%: Elo_diff. ~ 77.7 Elo after 200 games. Possible ou...

Re: CCRL flawed testing: SF12 above SF12 8CPU.

Hello Kai: Very nice! His result was 78% draws, very close to your likely 75%. And his wins : losses was 44 : 0, quite telling W/L and an associated Elo compression. I found a typo in my formula for D_min. The true value is: /* WRONG IN MY PREVIOUS POST: score = 1/[1 + 10^(-Elo_diff./400)] = W + D =...

Re: CCRL flawed testing: SF12 above SF12 8CPU.

Hello Kai and Alayan: What was the draw rate? Your openings favor huge draw rates and compress Elo differences. Can you write WDL numbers? [...] I saw SF 12 8CPU with zero losses vs the 1 core after 60+ games but I don't know the final results. Anyway, 8CPU had a huge win:loss ratio. While we wait M...
