Stockfish/CorChess UltimaIQ compiles are updated as of 040120, even though the home page still says the latest compiles are December 25:

Re: If there were one engine I could bring back and covert

So I guess I'll throw in my vote for Fritz 10.1, because I actually liked its style better than Junior's, and I find unbelievable that people managed to crack the CTG opening book's code so such books can be used anywhere, yet nobody has been able to crack old fritz GUI engine protocol (which they ...

Re: DiceChess Variant

Using dice to choose which piece to move is not a new idea. The rule stating "If there's no legal moves for such a piece, you move any piece you like" is one that I have not seen before, so I think this particular variant of yours is unique. If you are into variants, then The Classified Encyclopedia...

Re: Searching for ANCIENT Engines: Bringer 1.4 and Lamb Chop 7.10

Ikarus CB was part of the Young Talents CD package, released in 2000, so it's still technically a commercial product, and probably I can't share a link for it here. I can't find that CD for sale anywhere. If you do come across Ikarus, you should be able to run it in one of the free Chessbase GUIs li...

I have some polyglot books that I downloaded many years ago:

ph-book2010-anand.bin
ph-book2010-karpov.bin
ph-book2010-kasparov.bin
ph-book2010-topalov.bin

I can't recall who made them and I never tried them.
Pavel Hase is the author of those books.

Even those Furby toys used a 6502 variant... with no Y register.

Re: Schooner Version 2.2 Release

ohh ok. I just read in the readme file that it is Winboard Xboard engine. Yeah, originally it was winboard/xboard only, but the latest versions support UCI as well. Dennis does recommend running it as a winboard engine, but from what I have read before you use the Fritz interface, so I guess you wo...

Any idea how to create Schooner as UCI engine? I see it is using Winboard/Xboard protocol which I am unfamiliar with...

Any tips that can be helpful to me step by step ? :) :)
Schooner 2.2 has native UCI support.
