Re: EVGA GeForce GTX 950 2 GB

The 950M for laptops outputs at 1kn.
You should get much more than 1 kn with a desktop card.

Would it be possible to distill the latest network to 16x2?
The distillation process doesn't work on test 40 and above networks, yet.

Re: Tool to minimax pgn games

I'd strongly suggest Aquarium. It comes with a learning curve, but you'll soon find out it's the most advanced bit of chess software you can find. I'm not sure about "utilizing only positions appearing in at least, say, 3 times". It'll convert the pgns into a tree and all positions will be analysed ...

I'm not a C++ programmer or an expert on chess engines, so I tried to keep it simple.
Thanks, super effort for a first attempt !!
Works fine without any issues for me on Fritz 15, even with ponder on for both engines.

Could you elaborate on what "AuxEngineFollowPvDepth" means ?

And why the AB that contains handcrafted positional data is not a database?
By your definition it IS also, so no problem....
You call software coding a database ?
Well done :D

Re: End of Era is there: SF is finally beaten!

Yes very true! The weight file or "learning file" of Lc0 is around 45mb ... this is a tiny file when you think about all the possible moves there are until Lc0 produced the very nice Bg6! move. The idea that Lc0 is just a large file of memorized book openings is beyond silly as the file would have ...

Re: What is this CCC3 threads thing now?

Thanks for explanation. But how do You know, that Komodo then uses real cores and no virtual ones, if computer has HT on? Only a very stupid OS would schedule two threads onto the same physical core, assuming almost all the physical cores are available. On my laptop, HT cannot be disabled. So Win10...
