Re: Do SF still have troubles with 2nd repetitions ?

So you mean it is better to apply the patch to the master to avoid cases of confusion and take the loss of maybe one Elo?

Re: Do SF still have troubles with 2nd repetitions ?

Git is such an unuseable pile of shit... How the hell do i get a diff ?

Ok - add ".patch" to the URL.
https://github.com/joergoster/Stockfish ... 5b7d.patch

but the patch no longer applies to master. All this fuss for *maybe* 1 elo. :?:

Scid vs. PC book and mask changes

I've made some improvements to the Book Tuning feature in subversion. Sorry - but sourceforge's GUI is largley down at the moment, so you can only get it via command line: svn update, or if you dont have it yet svn checkout http://svn.code.sf.net/p/scidvspc/code/ scidvspc-code There are now "Add Lin...

Re: ScidvsPC -Request support Chess960

People keep requesting this feature. Mark's chess960 patch (in patches subdirectory of source code) is buggy, and i've been waiting for Mark or someone else to see if it can be made to work, but maybe i will have a look at it myself sometime. Re: new gui, new engine

Hmmm. On fedora 14 i run into gtk include nightmares :(
After yum install gtkmm-devel, this header "include gtkmmconfig.h", but does not supply this file.

Probably it works on a later linux. So - screenshots ???

Re: The "say" command is what you want

say "This is a Test!"
You are just running into a bash (the modern default unix command shell) nuance/feature.
Single quotes (') are literal, but bash will try to do variable expansion inside double quotes ("). The exclamation mark has significance.

Re: Scid vs. PC 4.13

Yes, Tools->Maintenance->SpellcheckPlayerNames
must be run prior to duplicate removal.

Probably SpellcheckPlayerNames could be improved to better address wayward punctuation, but it's not something i'm too familiar with... Maybe this release i will look at it if no-one else does.

Re: Firenzina 2.4.3 xTreme

This is an unplanned release, thank you for the reminder! I made the sources available at http://www.firenzina.org/Firenzina_2-4-3_sources.zip . These sources do not contain the code added to 2.4.1 to port it for Android. Also, the 2-4-3 branch of the GitHub does not contain the right code, please ...
