Re: Man verses machine

I just looked at these outputs and here are some interesting things: SInce the same engine was used to analyze all 4 positions then 2 of the positions should have a positive ce and the other 2 should have a negative ce. Following is what I see: P1a Bxg4 29:25 20,358,116,736 +0.43 P1b Bxb4 53:32 38,6...

Re: Man verses machine

Hi Dann,

Just got in and saw your analyses of the 4 positions, any chance you have the full output or atleast the amount of time spent to find the move?

Thx

Re: Man verses machine

Hi Dann, Although this analysis took some time do you think this may be a good position to try this on??? You know what I mean, just a thought. Just got home from work <S> If anyone can try running these 4 positions under same conditions I would be very interested in its output of the analyses. [d]r...

Re: Question about 2 variables in the pgn output file for TC

Hi Ferdinand,

Thx so much for your detailed explanation regarding my post. I am going to see how to incorporate this logic into an application I am developing. If I have any further questions I will give you a yell.

Once again thank you,

Les

Re: Question about 2 variables in the pgn output file for TC

Hi Mark, I am aware of the purposes of the other variables but am only interested in what the ev= and wv= in the file. I realize the wv is not included in this file but the ev= is. How do you explain why the sign is the same whether its black or white to move? Look at move 200 and after, the sign ne...

Re: Question about 2 variables in the pgn output file for TC

Hi, I know there is no wv= in this particular file but the ev= are present. I thought there was no reason to include the other file once someone can offer me an explanation for the file I did include. What are your thoughts about the sign not changing with the ev? Look at around move 200 for the sig...

Question about 2 variables in the pgn output file for TCEC

I hope someone can help answer this. I have noticed there are 2 variables that appear in TCEC pgn games that I dont think I understand there function. It seems that either ev= or wv= can be used either by themselves or together in reporting the evaluation. Here is a sampl output file that confuses m...

Question re evalaution format in a pgn game

Re: Annotation formats for CEGT-CCRL-TCEC

Hi Vincent, I am aware of what the notations stand for but I was hoping to see if some type of standard (meaning all the things that can be used within the pgns of each format). HG has mentioned to me that he does not believe there is a defacto standard of the things you can and cant place inside th...
