can someone explain what's the story of this position and why Bh5 is winning? Stockfish for example like hxg3 or Qe6.

from what I understand Elo is relative, I think that looking at the elo of the tested engine you'll see how much stronger/weaker it's compared to the other engines.

Re: Insurance thread

Quick question: you talk about "choosing" a result, but my understanding of lazy SMP is that you only really listen to the main thread - the others just populate the transposition table. Is this the standard way, or is this really *too* lazy? if you look at Stockfish code they have created a voting...

Re: UCI pondering done right

I agree that in some places the UCI protocol could have been done better, but I think it's good enough. what I sometimes don't agree, is that I think that a moderator moderator shall be attentive and always polite with other members. This is my opinion, but English is not my first language and i cou...

Re: UCI pondering done right

So in your judgement, requiring data to be sent at a time it is not available is not a flaw. I am afraid that says more about your judgement than about the protocol, though... But it makes it pointless to discuss this any further. YOU are a moderator of those forum, please act like a moderator and ...
