Re: UCI Implementation of Aquarium is broken (FEN positions)

From the Gaviota logs that Marc Halstern reported to me I found that Aquarium sends position fen r1bqk2r/pppp1pbp/2n2np1/4p3/2P5/2N2NP1/PP1PPPBP/R1BQK2R w KQkq - When it should send position fen r1bqk2r/pppp1pbp/2n2np1/4p3/2P5/2N2NP1/PP1PPPBP/R1BQK2R w KQkq - 0 1 It think this is a serious bug beca...

Re: Costeff Study 1979

Here is an earlier version of the Costeff study: [d]8/3p4/7K/2P5/8/8/6pp/1R4nk w - - 0 1 Yace pb 2003 quickly finds 1Ra1!, but for some reason Stockfish didn't find it, at least not for a while (no tablebases were used). The winning line here is 1 Ra1! d5 2 c6 d4 3 c7 d3 4 c8B! d2 5 Bg4 d1Q 6 B:d1 ...

Re: Topalov vs Anand Gmae 8

Kf7!

Miguel
Avoiding Kf6, now Bb5 - Bd3
Kf8 also holds the draw - very comfortably. There's nothing after 49...Kf8 50.Kf6 Bd7.
The position really is a dead draw.
