Re: AlphaZero - Stockfish game 3

But even at move 60 we are already 20 ply from the position after 49...Kf8. I don't know if there is an improvement earlier in these variations. People! What are you doing here? Alphazero's games should have taught you one lesson and one lesson only: Do not trust SF and think for yourself! SF analy...

Re: AlphaZero vs Stockfish

Are you sure? Did you look at 24 Qf4!? in that line.... the position looks far from clear - many many interesting lines. Also 23. Bd4 comes to mind. Can you show the winning line? All I see is draw, even after depth 45 analysis of SF. The problem with this position is that SF sees lots of draw vari...

Re: AlphaZero vs Stockfish

I meant optimal continuation of the actual game. So the line is: 20. h4 f6 21. Be3 Kg7 22. Rad1 Qe6 23. hxg5 Qf7 [d]rnb2r2/p3bqkp/1pp2p2/6P1/Q7/2P1B1P1/P4PB1/3RR1K1 w - - 1 24 That is a clear draw, and white can do nothing about it. Are you sure? Did you look at 24 Qf4!? in that line.... the positi...

Re: AlphaZero vs Stockfish

You don't seem to actually understand anything about that position. It's weird that ppl are not capable even to do descent analysis of the game. The sacrifice was not sound and Alpha0 won the game just because SF made couple of blunders in a row, first 21...Bf5 instead of 21...Kg7 and then even mor...

The rest are just, how to say it,...laymanly funny.
As just about everything you say here about alphazero is blatantly false, I must say that i find your statements "sub-laymanly" and not even one iota funny.

Re: Stockfish Natural TB loses heavily to Stockfish master

Well, many people 'tinker' with things as a way to learn how they work. Take it apart, put it back together, break it, fix it, etc. I don't see the harm of him tinkering with the TB code...his intentions are good, he'll figure it out. I guess I don't understand why that's skin off your back. Norm W...

Re: Stockfish Natural TB loses heavily to Stockfish master

So I will add an UCI option "Natural TB" by which users can toggle between natural and traditional behavior. This of course is just a placebo knob, but it takes me much less to add it than to convince people otherwise. Of course during real analysis I expect Natural TB to be always enabled because ...

Re: Stockfish Natural TB loses heavily to Stockfish master

I am very sorry to sound somewhat aggresive in this post, but I beleive these so called "naturalTB" are completely and utterly misguided. The whole concept is based the misconceptions of mostly (please forgive me) weaker players (<1900 Elo) and the highly subjective notion of "naturalness". 1) Contr...

Re: 8:2 - quite convincing DRAW

I really don't get why all of you first feed the troll, second how you have patience to argue with a troll for so many days and weeks, over and over again??? He is at best someone who is well below master candidate level (maybe once long time ago was close to there), someone whose current OTB level...
